Children's Activities

The Indiana Yoga, Flow, and Fire Festival is for families. There will be a dedicated area for children that includes various activities for them to participate in throughout the festival. In addition to these activities there will be some workshops and classes designed specifically for children listed below.

Scheduled Children Workshops

Poi Workshop

This class is a fun introduction to poi and includes making them out of socks! Ezra will guide the children in the simple construction of their very own poi. In addition they will learn the basic concepts about plane and some introductory moves that will have them ready to flow!

Storytime Yoga

Join in a fun interpretation of a classic children's fairytale, where we will all literally move through the storyline!

Mindfulness

An introduction to mindfulness and mindfulness meditation taught for our younger companions in this life. We will introduce some simple breathing techniques to help calm the nervous system, practice labelling the emotions we are feeling, and experience the perspective of the witness as we watch our thoughts rise and fall in our minds.

Magic!

We welcome magician Dana Flemming to the children’s area for a special performance doing what he does best - amaze and mesmerize! Suitable for children of all ages, please join us for a special opportunity to see this unique talent all the way from Charleston, WV.

Hoop's Class

Children’s introduction to hooping will include skills with isolation, hand placement, and balancing. We will also discuss different types of hoops and help identify the best hoop for them.
